Dr Katharina de Melo

Dr Katharina de Melo (formerly Jarmai) is an Academic Expert on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainable Strategy (IBES).

She studied socioeconomics at the Vienna University for Business and Economics, where she also completed her doctoral studies on the impact of foresight processes in the European research and innovation system as part of the “Innovation Economics Vienna” program run by AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology and the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Before working at FHWien der WKW, Dr de Melo worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Sustainability Management (WIMAS) at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where she coordinated, among other things, the research project “COMPASS – Evidence and Opportunities for Responsible Innovation in SMEs” funded by the European Union (2016-2019).
